Day 1
Getting through Narita immigration was a challenge, but was overcome with patience and willingness to settle down and get some much needed rest. The very cute Japanese attendants announced my name via in-plane P.A. After leaving the aircraft I was escorted to a separate immigration line up that consisted of two people, a white male and me. After answering a few questions, the man was let through. I found out a few seconds later that we had been red flagged for reasons that only a Japanese fluent person would understand… Long story short, they flipped my backpack inside out, as well as looking through electronically and physically through my laptop. I was then escorted to through Japan’s finest train system to the Canadian Embassy where my passport was validated. By the time everything was finished, local time 5PM, I began rushing towards Sawanoya Ryokan in hopes that Murray decided to head without me. After realizing that I was escorted to Tokyo without being able to exchange USD to Yen, I asked many people for directions to the nearest exchange.
No wonder sumo wrestlers are paid well here in Japan, it is impossible to get fat. Stores and exchanges make you work to get what you want. It seems that all male clothing are located on the top floors of most department stores and the exchange shop I was determined to get to was no exception. After climbing a total of 8 floors with the whole backpack, daypack, and laptop worth of baggage, I was able to finally exchange some money. A short flight down, and noticeably more sweat marks, I easily found a cabbie that knew exactly where I wanted to go.
Side Note: I just realized while typing this blog, I could have asked those at the Canadian Embassy why I was red flagged. I suppose that I was too tired to try and find out.

Day 2 – Japan > Game
Shibuya. We started the day off with some breakfast which was ham cooked within sunny side eggs, two pieces of toast perfectly squared toast, and some satisfying green tea. Even though the breakfast looked fairly small, it was unbelievably filling. Shortly after, we began our journey with Shinigawa, Shibuya, and Shinjuku as our main targets. We had some trouble using the automated ticketing machines at the subway, but Murray found an English button on different machine. I accidentally closed the video beforehand so footage was not taken of this astute, very clever idea.
Our first destination was Shinigawa which ended up being very short. After a short walk through the area we had noticed a number of people in business attire. The girls were hot. Moving forward, there was not much to be done in the business district of Tokyo, so Shibuya was obviously the next destination.
The acclaimed trendiness that we all hear about was clearly evident only seconds after leaving the Shibuya trains. Let me tell you all straight up, it is very easy to get lost in Shibuya as the large number of population can easily overwhelm you as it did for me(especially since they’re hot). After about 20 minutes of walking we finally found Shibuya crossing. I will leave details regarding the main area of Shibuya within my video(to be prepared), but here are a few things we checked out:
